Associational WMU News
We are collecting 150 bottles of shampoo, 10-15 oz size No Bigger! We are also collecting items to fill 5 Backpacks for the Appalachian Ministry, all items must be new. Please bring your shampoo and Backpack items to our World Day Of Prayer meeting. More info to come about time and location of the meeting.

Calvary Baptist is preparing for their Annual Yard and Bake Sale, October 21, it will be held at the the Music Barn in MtGilead. They are also preparing 41 backpacks for the Appalachian Christmas Outreach 2017, to be given to Appalachian Children in need. The WMU also prepared 26 Handmade Drawstring Backpacks for Foster Children in our county.

Candor Baptist Homecoming is scheduled for October 8, 2017. Annual Gospel Singing and Fundraiser, October 28th, starting at noon. Ongoing WMU/Church wide Mission project, we are collecting new toys, art supplies and toiletry items for families of sick children who stay at the Ronald McDonald House, in memory of “Little Richey” who recently passed away.

Mt. Carmel Baptist Fall Carnival & Trunk -or-Treat, Tuesday October 31, 6pm-8pm.

Tabernacle Baptist continues to show appreciation for the veterans in our county. All veterans and their spouses are invited to a free meal scheduled for the 1st Tuesday of each month. Please help us spread the word and encourage them to come and join us!

First Baptist Troy October 7th-Yard & Bake Sale, 8am-noon). To raise money for Operation Christmas Child (call Bonnie Kelley, 572-3880 for yard sale donations or questions. October 14th 6pm Chili Supper with desserts (Fellowship Hall), $5 donation or more if you desire.

Wadeville Baptist is planning a yard sale/bale sale for October 14th, from 7-12. We'll gladly take any donations for the sale. All monies raised will he used towards missions work. October 28th-Fall Festival and Trunk-or-Treat, 6-8pm

White Crest Gideon Sunday is October 1. Missionaries from Honduras, Ricardo & and his wife, will make a presentation on October 8. Our fall festival is scheduled for October 25 at 6:30PM. There will be games, food, and fellowship! Ladies Zumba is still every Tuesday and Thursday at 6:00PM. Sisters in Christ will also meet on October 12 at 7:00PM.

  • Diaper cream,
  • Wipes (small or regular size),
  • Gumdrop brand BPA free, or similar style pacifiers,
  • Dr. Brown's BPA free bottles, and nipples,
  • Bottle brushes,
  • Similac Soy Formula:Nutramigen or Alimentum Formulas - (special formulas for babies that can not digest cows milk)
    These are quite expensive, but the only formula some of the babies can drink.

NO BABY POWDER please! The American Academy of Pediatrics points out that baby powder can cause breathing trouble and serious lung damage for babies if they inhale the particles. (And it's hard to keep powder out of the air when you're using it.)
